Date for your diary:

Arcademy Annual Showcase will be Wed 17 Mar 2010.

Additional Sessions:

Members in performance focused groups (ie, Arc Youth Theatre and Arc Youth Dance) will be required to attend additional rehearsals as public performances near.  Rehearsal schedules will be published well in advance.

Enrolment:

To enrol onto any of these groups please contact the Arc Theatre Office on 0845 299 0476.  Pre-booking is essential.

Waiting Lists:

Waiting lists operate for some of the groups.  Contact our sales team on 0845 299 0476 to add your details without obligation.  Once a place becomes available for you we will contact you for a final enrolment decision.

Payment/Refunds:

The minimum enrolment is one term, which allows members to become familiar with the group and the leader.  Termly fees are payable in advance of the first session.  Fees can be paid using cash, cheque, credit card or debit card.  We are unable to provide refunds for part-terms.

Taster Sessions:

Once terms start groups are involved in production and project work, so it is not appropriate to disrupt the groups with 'taster sessions'.  We advise new members to enrol for one term to try the group.

Group Aims:

All our groups are structured to provide members with the opportunity to:

Develop performances skills and techniques
Learn the disciplines of performance
Harness and direct creative energy
Communicate an idea or mood or attitude or story
Have fun in a structured and focused environment
Build Confidence to express yourself
Work collaboratively to make shared performance products

The Arc specialises in original devised theatre and contemporary dance, and our regular workshops reflect these priorities.  There is a commitment to developing and making original theatre and dance which communicates to a contemporary audience and allows the opportunity for participants to express views and feelings creatively.

All groups perform their work in some context - either public performance or informal private 'sharings'.

Cancelling Sessions:

Very occasionally we have to cancel a session due to reasons beyond the Theatre’s control.  When this happens we will contact you using the contact details you have provided and will endeavour to provide an alternative session in the same term.
