Other Information:

On your first day, it is a good idea to wear comfortable clothing so you can move about easily and we recommend bringing some water, just in case you get thirsty. There will be somebody ready to meet you at the Theatre Foyer who will introduce you to everyone in the group, including the leader.

Let me tell you a bit more about how the groups work (it is a good idea to show this letter to your parents)...

We promise that…

All the groups will be run by leaders who are experienced in working with young people and who have a background in theatre or dance.

Very occasionally we have to cancel a session due to reasons beyond our control.  When this happens we will contact you and try our best to provide an alternative session in the same term. Unfortunately, our groups do not meet on bank

holidays. We will make sure another day session will be held to make up for it.

Where we can, we will opt to contact you via email so that we are being as friendly to the environment as possible. It is

really important that we have accurate and up to date email addresses to make this as easy as possible.

We may be able to arrange the opportunity for your group to go on a trip or visit during the year. If so, we will send out information in plenty of time.

We ask that...

Everybody who joins a group at The Arc wants to

Make exciting performances based on their ideas and show them to an invited audience.

Pick up and develop different performance skills.

Work with other group members and attend all sessions.

Have fun and make new friends.

If you can’t make a session, it is really important that you let The Arc know as it can have a knock-on affect for the rest of your group, especially when rehearsing for a show.

We ask that you get dropped off inside the Theatre, this way you can be sure that the group has not been cancelled or is not taking place in a different room. We also ask that they collect you in person at the finishing time.

It is important to us that the group’s focus matches your own needs and that you will have fun and meet other likeminded people!

Other bits and bobs...

Sometimes we like to take photos of people having fun during our sessions so that we can tell other people about what goes on.

All the information you give us when joining our groups will be looked after by The Arc and will not be shared with anyone else. We will add you to the theatre’s mailing list so you will receive a brochure letting you know what is going on here.

When you join a group at The Arc, we reserve you a place for the entire term. For this reason, we cannot offer a refund in part or full. If for some reason, you decide that you no longer want to be a part of it. The Director of the Theatre is always willing to talk to parents in this situation.

If anything you have read raises some questions or you need to let us know about something, the best way to do so is by calling the theatre Box Office, otherwise we will assume it is all tickety-boo!
